Regardless, I suggested we go up for a quick visit to Queen's Park. I wanted to try the new electric vehicle charging facilities near the skate park. I was surprised when I spotted two, shiny-new DC chargers, a continued cooperate agreement between BCIT and our city. It is a short walk to the rose garden and we could check to see whether the bushes had buds. Although lots of flowers were blooming, the roses seemed to still be sleeping.

My car's battery was 71% full when we arrived. We walked around and Jay took photos. It was too cold to be enjoyable, so we walked back to the car quickly. After a mere 16 minutes, it'd gone to 81%. Those chargers are going to be a very welcome addition to my charging repertoire. The final 20% of an electric vehicle's charge goes slowly to ensure the battery's health. In fact, EV owners should always change to just 80% on a public, DC quick-charger!
