Due to the COVID-19 situation, pharmacists in British Columbia now have the power to renew existing prescriptions. This was lucky as I didn't have to bother making an appointment to see my doctor. Healthcare professionals must be busy enough without unnecessary paperwork! We drove back home after picking up a few other things, including some bleach.

While Jay was cooking food, I thought I should continue practicing my flying skills. I put the little Mavic Mini's case in a shoulder bag and walked a few streets up in the neighbhourhood. A playground beside the new elementary school looked comfortable and completely empty. This area used to be the location of St. Mary's Hospital. As well as the playground, there is a short row of community gardens.
As you can see from the photo, I sat on the grass in the sunshine. I practiced going to and fro at only a handful of meters above the ground. It was windy and my little device weighs just 249 grams. Because it is only a bit over a half pound, it avoids many of the restrictions imposed in some countries. I could hear the motors working hard, so I didn't feel comfortable pushing it very high.
