Day 85 - It was a pleasant trip back to Minuwangoda along the expressway this morning. When we order a PickMe rideshare, I usually end up in the front passenger seat. That means I often watch the traffic as intently as if I were driving. This usually leads me to feel as though I drove. On some Sri Lankan roads that is an exhausting exercise. However, when we breeze along on the new, 4-lane divided highway with limited access, I can relax and look out the passenger door window too. We got here in less than an hour and fifteen minutes and that meant going all the way on the highway to the airport.
This afternoon and evening have been low key. Jay's elder sister didn't come back with us. She's going to come in a few days. It is suddenly obvious that our three months here is quickly coming to a close. In fact, next week at this time we will be in Malaysia.
It's going to be fun having Jay's sisters there for the initial ten days. They've not flown much nor travelled abroad much. I get a sense they're getting excited by the shopping and sightseeing visit. Jay and I have rented the exact same studio apartment we had for three months last winter (after two months in Bali). We have also rented another Airbnb from the same owner in the same building. The Maytower is an older fixture in central Kuala Lumpur. I do love that city!
The tip of the Maytower hides behind the busy Saturday Market Stalls.
