Day 84 - She was taking blood out of my arm at 8:30. I'm okay with that as I wanted to get it done so we could go back to have breakfast. All four of us went for a fasting-cholesterol and lipids test. The small clinics are a chain and efficient. This particular one was just a kilometer up the road, however, we went by taking two tuk-tuks there and back. The grand price for four rides came to a total of less than $US 1.30. A little while ago Jay's elder sister went to pick up the results for all four of us. Everybody had acceptable results and that's a good thing.

After grabbing breakfast, we went to the Fort Railway Station in Colombo. PickMe rideshare is so easy! We spent a few hours walking around downtown Colombo to see what it is like in 2020. Many things are similar but a lot is different. We had lunch in the Pagoda Tea Rooms but it was just a packet lamprais from Green Cabin. It was a bit dry and contained no hardboiled egg.
It was hot and pretty muggy. I suppose the overcast skies kept the temperature from being even hotter. I did enjoy the time there. The photo above is the World Trade Center Colombo. Those towers were completed in 1992 so that's not new but the expansion of port lands for future city growth is a mega project which will surely change the city. I first became acquainted with the capital of Sri Lanka about 35 years ago.
