Jay's Lemongrass Harvest of the Summer

The lights were on most of the day. I guess I am happy to see what we're going to miss during the next five months: Lots and lots of rain. I know that I am sounding a lot like a broken record here. Maybe it is just the excitement of knowing we are heading back to Asia at the end of the month.



I've seen how Jay slowly prepares for our wintertime away. Today, the lemongrass was cut from the big balcony plant pot. He'll dry it for cooking use. Last winter was a bit severe, I guess and the old, roots died. However, when we got back he put in a few new sprigs and over the course of the summer this was the result.
