Day 103 - I found several photos on my camera which I hadn't uploaded to Flickr. The one above was taken on Wednesday evening along the river in Krabi, Thailand.
So far, this winter has provided a raft of memorable experiences. Our first two months were spent on the island of Bali. Following that, about six weeks ago, we set up base in the city of Kuala Lumpur. We've been able to stay for a short time in two other Malaysian cities: Malacca and Ipoh. Most recently, we just returned from a little 3-night trip to Krabi, Thailand.
Generally, at this time of year, we have started to create a short list of places for our upcoming winter. We have, indeed, been considering a world of locations. Nothing seems to have gelled, much less crystalized yet. Many possibilities abound if one considers destinations between the Tropic of Cancer towards the South Pole.
Before we retired in 2014 we mentally sketched out a 10-Year Plan, in which we travel for five months per year during Vancouver's rainy winters. A decade of travel sounded like a lot at the time. Now, however, hopefully, the plan can be extended, even if the basic tenets stay the same. Today, I happened to read this blog entry posted a bit more than four years ago. We have already accomplished much of what was included in it. So, it must be time to dig into Google Earth, Airbnb, and Kayak and get some new plans a'going.
