Day 26 - Today is Friday which means we've been in Bali for three weeks already! It seems more amazing because we haven't travelled around the island yet. We have stayed exclusively in the Kuta/Legian strip of the beach. We know Bali has a lot to offer as decades ago, we explored volcanos, terraced rice paddies, and northern beaches.
Has early retirement slowed us down? I don't think so; it's just that we have created more time for ourselves. We have five an a half more weeks here before we move on to a neighbouring country.
There's a lot to be said for taking time. For example, it seems there are always festivities taking place for the Balinese Hindus from morning to evening. We were quite surprised by the beach event. Prior to sunset, we walked across to the beach and then down the beach road.

There is one HSBC ATM near Kuta beachside. We wanted to get some cash but also enjoyed some of the fusion, Christmas decorations in the Beachwalk Shopping Mall. We had a McFlurry while waiting for a Grab car for a lift back to our neighbhourhood.
