Day 34 - The days on the calendar keep moving. It hardly seems possible it is Saturday yet again. We walked around seven kilometres today, mainly because we walked to the beach this morning. There were a few clouds but not as many as we see on weather reports from home! In addition, we just walked back from the main Kuta tourist area.
It was not surprising to find ourselves back at the Sky Garden for dinner. I really don't know how they make money; it surely must come down to the enormous volumes involved. I drank more than my $US 8 fee in supermarket beer prices alone. That means the copious food essentially cost me nothing. The deal has sort of spoiled us. We can't figure out why we should spend $4 at a restaurant for an entree when double will provide a feast. The food is varied and good.
Tonight we met this young, German couple at the next table. It was nice to share stories. They are less than halfway into a one-year world tour. I do enjoy meeting real travellers when away. We have no personal friends who understand the call of wanderlust.
