It was raining heavily this afternoon when I found the photo above posted in a Facebook group for the Hyundai Kona Electric. A new owner from the Netherlands showed what he sees when he opens the hood. If one didn't know, he or she might assume the big plastic cover hides an air filter. None needed. Moreover, finding the oil dipstick on this motor would be impossible. I'm ready for a practically maintenance-free, totally-electric vehicle too.
We left Vancouver not knowing a lot more than from a personal email from Hyundai Canada in September. We know that we'll be back in mid-April and my car should be ready before that time. I didn't receive an email during the month of October.
Yet, when we were about to go to the airport in Taiwan to board our plane to Bali, I got this. I quickly replied mentioning the details about our arrival back in Canada. I hope that knocks the production of my vehicle down the line for a couple of months. I'd rather have a car later in the production run than have one sit on the lot in British Columbia for twelve weeks.
