Day 136 - One of the reasons we decided to fly back to Canada on the 17th was to see the Khmer New Year celebrations. It is a festival time in most of South and Southeast Asia. It's interesting to see how different the activities are in each country. For example, in Sri Lanka it is mostly a cultural celebration but here it seems more religious as the temples are very involved.
The real holidays don't begin until tomorrow, and run for three days here. We didn't do a whole lot of activities today as it is still pretty warm for exertion.
We have another guest who came yesterday and a French student couple just arrived from Phnom Penh. I think our host will get back from his short break tomorrow.
