I Forgot the Beauty of Our Area

The weather was really nice today. In fact, the temperatures broke some records in the very high 20's on the Celsius scale. When uptown, we drove through Queen's Park and stopped for a bit to inspect the Rose Garden. Of course, the rose bushes had no buds yet, but the plants looked very healthy and trimmed. A large banana tree might have pulled through the winter all right.


After getting back, we put in the new Badger 5 garburator. Purolator knocked at the door this morning although Amazon.ca is still promising it'll be here by 8:00 tomorrow evening! It's been seven years since my last installation job, so I forgot all tricks of installation. In fact, when I knocked out the plastic plug for the dishwasher inlet, it fell into the device. It makes a hell of a noise as it is physically lodged below the blade platter. I'm hoping it will wear down and get quieter over time. At least, it seems to grind up everything and we can use the right-side sink again!
