I was thinking back to the days when I was learning to drive. At one point, I remember pointing the enormous hood of a Ford Galaxie 500 down the highway. I don't think our family owned it for a long time. It might have been a surplus government vehicle my dad bought at auction. I have no personal photos of the white behemoth. I remember liking the taillights which looked something like this image I found on the Internet.
The sedan design never made for a very practical vehicle. That said, I'd again love to test drive something with eight feet of metal sticking out in front of me. Driving such a vehicle involved a lot of calculated aiming.
