Day 113 - It feels weird that we ran away from rain this winter but were so happy to see some today. In fact, I heard the sound of rain hitting the roof at around two thirty in the morning and it was still at it when we got up.
We'd thought about trying to walk to town for the 10:00 showing of the new 'Lara Croft: Tomb Raider' movie. It seemed like an appropriate location to see as Angelina Jolie was here, in Siem Reap when the first, 2001 movie of the original franchise was filmed. Of course, Angkor Wat is prevalent. Supposedly, The Red Piano, a bar and restaurant, right at the start of pub street was where the crew often congregated.
Today the rain put a dent in our cinamatic plans. It stopped at around 10:30 and left a raft of red, muddy streets in its wake. However, we left for a walk in time for lunch downtown. The air has changed a bit.

This is a main, busy Buddhist temple we pass by on the way downtown. This lady is selling caged birds, so that devotees may set them free to gain merit or karma. However, I don't know about the lady who keeps them trapped for profit.
