Day 41 - Last week, for some unknown reason, Rapid Penang was not selling their weekly bus passes for tourists. We had been without unlimited access since January 1st. That didn't keep us inside because short-trip ticket prices are a mere US$ 0.35 each. So though the system doesn't offer transfers and has a 4-tier system based on distance, it is still not much to get anywhere on a bus. Anyway, we were able to pick up some new passes today. (Next week, we'll be doing a bit of off-island travelling.)
We also went back to Queensbay Mall to see a 12:10 showing of the new Jumanji movie. I thought, at first, it might be primarily for kids with a PG13 rating. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the masterful way it harkens back to 80's action/adventure flicks. One of the trailers showed a new Lara Croft sequel too. I have always been a big fan of this type of film. Indiana Jones may have run its course, but I think audiences are ready for some similar yarns of that genre.

Oh, and as you can see. The Mall changed from Christmas decorations directly to Chinese New Year.
