Day 32 - As soon as we walked past our apartment complex's swimming pool, we knew that we'd made a correct decision just to get out for some scenery.

Getting on different buses has already provided a way to see much of Penang island so far. We live quite south of George Town, so most Rapid Penang buses around here are on the 300-numbered routes. We'd never been on the #308, so we took our neighbourhood bus to catch one at the BJ Komplecks. First, it went to the Queensbay Mall. Then, it travelled on some new and some familiar roads. It took a more inland road than most routes and rather than ending at the jetty, it completed its journey at the high-end Gurney Shopping Plaza. It passed along Scotland Road. I love the wide, tree-lined avenues at that end of town. If we return here for another winter, or alas should we buy a place, that would be an interesting area in which to be based.
Penangites surely do enjoy their shopping and eating! We didn't manage any shopping today. However, we did end up at lunchtime near the Restauran Kapitan again.
