We received a packet of information regarding Sunday in Syndey. We had completed the online ETA weeks before we left. We also attended a 10:30 AM talk by our EXC guide on sightseeing in the city. She showed the best bets for making our own way around.

I'm writing this in the late afternoon. The day has been cooler at around 19C or 20C. The weather report for Vancouver shows it's only about 8C at home, so I shan't complain. Tonight will offer us the chance to again dress more formally for dinner as it is another Gala Night. This will be the final one for folks leaving in Sydney. It seems that only about 880 of us will be continuing on to Auckland. It also means that more than 1,000 people leave the MS Noordam on Sunday. They'll be replaced with new passengers doing just two-week run to Melbourne, Hobart, and the many New Zealand ports.
Speaking of travelling: I found an old 'Moon' travel guide to Fiji in the ship's library. This cruise is important as a means a brief visit to Austrailia and New Zealand, countries to which we've never been. However, it may have provided a scouting mission to a future, five-month winter destination. I'm really liking the idea of staying on those islands from December to April some year in the future. Of course, research will be much easier once we're back at home and plugged into fast Internet. Still leafing through this six-year-old edition highlighting the islands is proving educational.
The world is so big, but our futures so short in comparison to it all!
