Day 08 - Choices, Choices, Choices!
We had tough choices today; such as, what NOT to eat. There is almost more food than imaginable at most every time and corner of the ship.
It's hard to explain the lure of cruising to the uninitiated. We are primarily interested as we can spend time in the harbours of some very interesting places. We can explore and then reboard the ship at sail on to a new location. However, there's quite a bit to be said about spending time on these huge floating cities as well. The MS Westerdam seems a perfect size to us. Having around 2000 passengers and 800 staff means we have sufficient onboard amenities. Yet, the ship is small enough to dock at ports unavailable for mega-ships.

There's shopping, a gym, a gaming casino, multiple entertainment stages, bars, huge dining areas, and two swimming pools. We are finding the elevators sufficient and the mostly Indonesian staff perfectly trained and exceptionally friendly.
This is going to be a valuable addition to the memories of our lives.
