Starlight at 12:45 PM

When we left for our last winter away, it seemed as though we had so many things to do before leaving. Perhaps, we found it more difficult as we were in uncharted territory. We had never run through a checklist of items which needed to be done when leaving for a half year. Learning how to turn off utilities and stop subscriptions may have been a learning curve.

Obviously, we are getting better at these tasks. We leave tomorrow but found ourselves with practically nothing to do today.


We decided to go and have lunch at The Buffet, at our local casino in Queensborough. I think we'd only had lunch at the Starlight Casino once in the past. Today, I was pretty impressed with the value and food. We used our BC Encore Card and our over-55 status. It was quite a lunch for $9.45 each! In fact, I'm still a little uncomfortable. (I'll include only the first of the four plates of food I ate.)
