No Rain in Sight - Day 22

The weather is decidedly predictable. There's really little need of a forecast. Last night was chilly and it will get warm this afternoon with no chance of rain. This prediction should remain valid throughout our winter here. I last saw rain in Vancouver and do not expect to see a drop until we return to Western Canada at the end of April.

This situation makes for a healthy environment as walking about is always a pleasant option.

We stayed around home today. I'll try to post several images from a little walk to the center of Luxor's West Bank. During the last several days our ADSL line has been working only about 20% of the day.






Nowadays, this is the quiet side of the city and in ancient times it was associated with the dead. For you see, the sun set on this side of the river; consequently, birth and renewal were associated with the other side of the Nile. The dry hills behind us make up the Valleys of the Kings and Queens and was where King Tut's burial chamber was uncovered.
