At first, I made some of the crew taste some Kona Castaway IPA. I like it a lot. Of course later, I had to figure out how to tap into the mini-keg of Hobgoblin. I proudly admit I was pretty successful in spilling just a little.
With a little coaxing by Jiwan, we went across the road to Pier Park to bask in the continued sunshine and blue sky of evening. Prior to everyone's arrival, Jay had been cooking up a storm. As this was our last chance to host before our winter away, he worked to provide a relevant meal. The salmon was pretty much local, yet the couscous and koshari reflected our winter destination of Egypt.
We ended up in front of our screen for a little while watching videos on YouTube of our July, road trip to Bella Coola, and parts of last winter in Puerto Vallarta. All in all it ended pretty early. We successfully handed over the ducks to the Richmond guys, and will be heading there next Sunday! Shinji traditionally puts on one hell of a Canadian Thanksgiving dinner. We are looking forward to that already.
