

Photos from space show us as a tiny, blue orb in a vastness of black.
Blue really is a nice colour; notwithstanding, the fact it's the colour of my own eyes. I think I become more aware of the colour when in British Columbia during summertime. Perhaps, during at least nine months of the year, this place is grey. However, when July and August roll around, we have the chance to see the bluest of blues. It's a type of blue that folks from other places may have never seen.
This really is a reason why being home at this time of year is important to me. The photos above were taken today at the 4th Street walkway to Westminster Pier Park on the Fraser River. Steps away, and shown below, is home sweet home.
