Rather than music, I listened to podcasts today. Nothing beats BBC's Global News for it's depth and breadth of coverage. I think I also listened to some of an episode of CBC Spark and one NPR Planet Money.
I am practicing being able to move to a temporary, Canadian provider when we return next month. In Canada, I have been rather spoiled with an unlimited data plan. It was only $10 per month when combined with my very old, grandfathered annual phone plan. Unfortunately, that really doesn't make much sense now as we're going to be in Canada only seven months a year.
I shall see if I can get away with very little data usage. I'll put the music and podcasts on my phone when I'm near my home WiFi. I will try to enjoy the same amount of audio as I used to when streaming it. I am outside with big headphones on a lot, a whole lot.
I'll choose a different pay-as-you-go service provider from May until November in order to have a mobile number.
