I have long said that I wanted to own property where I can see a coconut tree from my bedroom window. Unfortunately, this winter fails on several accounts. First, we are only renting in Puerto Vallarta for five months. Lastly, and more importantly, the coconut tree can only be seen from the front balcony.
It is pouring out at the moment. Finally! We had a rainy morning back nearly a month ago and that was the only real rain since getting here on US Thanksgiving. I may have been imagining it, but the hills near the highway tunnel were looking a bit brown. Yet now it's coming down in absolute buckets, warm buckets. I like it. This only started an hour or so ago. There were thunder showers last night too.
Yet, the weather this morning seemed fine when we walked up to the municipal market to buy fruits and vegetables. It is a weekly trip where we always get a cache of things. In fact today the selection was so heavy that it took the two of us all we could do to carry it back. I blame the pineapples for being so heavy.
Ah, the simple life!
