The Palm-Sized Box Packs a Punch

It's still too early for an all-out review. I just had to mention that I'm a lot happier with the new, little device after a few days of use. My Netflix app updated and it is a bit better. I have set the box up with the favourite apps from my other Android devices. Of course, only the ones for big-screen viewing are being installed. As well as video, the tiny little box will be pulling in all radio stations and music services from the Internet.


The first full-feature movies we watched on it was Rio 2. I am keeping an old mobile external drive plugged into the Minix for easy access to mp4 files. I expect to collect a number of classics and personal favorites on it until I run out of room. It already contains a number of old backups of photos and camcorder video. It is only 320GB. I saw that new 2TB mobile Seagate drives are selling for less than $100 bucks nowadays. One like that can be a replacement later this year.
