New Westminster sits plumb in the middle of the Metro-Vancouver region. This means most everybody needs to commute through us every day. Downtown's main drag is called Columbia Street. Today it was closed between 3:00 and, just now, 8:00 PM.I loved having one of New West's 2014 Pride activities occur right between 4th and 6th Streets. This stretch is right along the blocks in front of where we live. We had beer gardens, booths, and a stage with entertainment. It was crowded and great.
If only we could have events which close Columbia Street every summer Saturday!
