You might wonder what this image is. I'm here to set the story straight. Included in the dozen or so webcams in my Android app, is this cam on a friend's property in Washington State. Lynne and Joel have this cam mounted under the eaves of the garage pointing to the driveway and yard at their cabin. Today, I glanced to see one of their dogs in the center of the frame.
I captured the screen and sent an email with just the title here and the jpg attached. Lynne answered, ran outside, and waved at the camera. That was fun considering we were nearly 200 miles apart, well perhaps less than that as the crow flies.
There are many times a screen capture can be useful. I use for weather app captures to Facebook when I'm bragging. There are times when I want to again refer to information in a webpage and a simple image might suffice. Or when one wants to show a dog in the snow to their owners. With Android devices, one simply needs to press the on/off button and the volume button simultaneously.
Too bad you cannot see the animated wallpaper on my tablet in this still image. This is the free version of Kittehface's Aquarium Live. If I poke a fish, it rushes off the nearest edge of the screen.
