I do have an app on my tablet which provides instant access to selected webcams. For months, I have had ten or twelve favourite scenes which update automatically. Times Square in NYC is there. They include the personal property cams for friend, Joel Thomas in WA state. In addition, I follow the border lineups at the Peace Arch, our area's major crossing into the US. My favourites, of course, also include three webcams in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. If you have followed this blog with much frequency, you may remember having seen them in the past. (Just click the tag below in the footer of this message.) I enjoy having live 'windows' to other locations with just the swipe of a finger.
Yesterday, I started to investigate information about beach resorts south of Puerto Vallarta where we spent a week last month. I read about Ixtapa and the great grandfather of them all, Acapulco. As well as websites, I checked out Street View on Google Maps. I am sure in the future, we will take a rented car down Mexican Highway 200 and investigate these destinations in person. Lots of folks travelling in search of winter sunshine are drawn to the Caribbean's waters, but we feel more comfortable on Mexico's mountainous western shore with its robust tropical vegetation.
Of all the cameras added, I will place several here for your perusal. I never know when a visitor may come across this entry; therefore, I will place the static picture file saved just now. There is never much to see at night! In order to check out the current views, click on these images:
