We decided to take the SkyTrain downtown at about 9:30 am. We got off at the Main Street Station. We realized we had never walked from Science World, along False Creek, to Granville Island. This morning seemed like the perfect opportunity to go through the former Olympic Village.
Of course, it was fun bumping shoulders with all the tourists in the Public Market at Grandville Island. After snooping around for quite a while, we took the #50 bus to Davie Street. It was a great deal quieter than yesterday. We sat at English Bay at the corner of Davie and Denman just to drink in the sunshine. What a city this is!
We caught a SkyTrain and were home by 2:00 pm. Later in the day we did vegetable shopping, and stopped in the Starlight Casino to keep a cash-out slip from expiring. We've never spent any of our own cash, but by being members of the BC Encore we get discounts on food and an occasional gratis $5 in slot play. When I was down 50 cents on one-line, penny bets, I grabbed my card and ran ... ran to Walmart actually.
It's been a very relaxing but wonderful day.
