Although we are jaded by the sight of big ships doing the summer, Alaskan cruise schedule, we had never seen a Disney ship up close.We ate at Stepho's on Davie Street. "One chicken souvlaki and one lamb, please." I noticed the price has slowly crept up to $7.95 but that is quite a deal for the amount of food, namely carbohydrates. Does one really need rice, potato, AND bread? "Yes, sir and give me a Kokanee." It's funny how one learns to associate certain things with certain times. For us an inexpensive meal at this establishment helps to define summer.
I honestly would not consider spending summers any other place than here. Now if we can just decrease winter rain from it's usual November through June!
We decided to head home for an afternoon nap. Later, we took the 35 minute SkyTrain back downtown to see the Canada Day Parade.
The day wasn't complete until after the rather good fireworks back in our hometown. The New Westminster display didn't kick off until after 10:15 but it was the best in years, perhaps ever!
