Actually, this is another blog post complaining about the weather. I know; I know. This place stays verdant year round due to the rain. The rain also allows each local household to consume the highest amount of water in all of Canada. I will even admit that it's more convenient driving around in our winter rain than trying to stay on icy roads with snowbanks.
It's probably not the rain I am really complaining about. I didn't mind walking to my truck after class without an umbrella or hat today. I also did not mind using my windshield wipers when coming home. (That does remind me: I really must get replacement blades.) No, it's probably not the rain nor water that bother me. I guess I get depressed by the gray clouds and lack of sun that accompanies our average of 166 days per year with precipitation.
This month started off so nicely, it spoilt us. Yet the past two weeks have got me pining for a little desert. I would be so nice to drive over to the Okanagan just for a change of scenery. I love the dry side over there.
I had a hard time finding personal photos of BC's desert or wine country.
