I now do more reading on my tablet than from the paper though. I can only envision this as continuing to grow. I am sorry but something curated by an editor and shipped to me on dead trees cannot carry the breadth, variety, and timeliness that the Internet does.
Now, our Sun along with others are trying to set themselves up behind pay-walls. You know, only a few free peeks are allowed per month without coughing up a little money for a digital subscription. The trouble is the genie is already out of the bottle. I do not know how they will be able to set up a system to pay those involved for their work. I fear if they don't accomplish it somehow, then all our local coverage is going to dry up. Yet, after getting RSS for all these years, I'll be damned if I fork over cash. Hence, the dilemma exists for them, I guess.
