I took the picture above this morning. Yet years ago, I started a tag on Flickr called New West Dwellings. Most of the Lower Mainland only know New Westminster as a commuter through our city on the way to some other place. Many of road warriors are not aware of the housing we have. There are some very nice neighbourhoods with a variety of historic homes.
I often walk along Fourth Street, by City Hall, and onward to do business uptown. I love the area between Royal and Sixth Avenues, between Queen's Park and Sixth Street. I could never afford to own a home there, but walking past gives the same thrill that window shopping can.
