Mechanical Love

The event occurred in celebration of sixteen years together. Nah, not with the beloved significant other as that's been going on eleven years beyond that. I meant to talk about how long we've owned the old, Ford Ranger. And the event was an annual coat of Turtle Wax! It's the only vehicle we've owned in Canada, although it was actually purchased down in Washington State.

I had anticipated spending the $10,000 in order to get around 10 years of use. Now, of course, it's got to make it to 20. After all, the pickup has only been 86,000 miles. I don't wear out a vehicle by going back and forth to work often, you see.



I'd forgotten, though, how much work it can be to wipe off a coat of applied wax when the metal is hot from the sun. This wasn't the pour-on type as I believe anything worth doing is worth struggling with.
