2 Days Before Turning 53

Just as expected, today we saw a complete arc of the sun. We did have a fairly good few weeks in Vancouver, but it is nice to get away to weather that is dry. I now have an appetite to dry out a bit every once in a while. Having blueberry pancakes by the pool is an excellent way to start the day.



Then Joel and I tested of my RC truck on gravel. I've only run it on tar since I bought it a few weeks ago. It's still a little dirty from that day.



We later went to Ellensburg. It takes more than 40 minutes via a dirt road. We shopped for local produce at the Street Fair, I had a spare key made for my truck, and the Thomas brought me a birthday, ice-cream cone.



Going back to the house we took a long-cut up over a mountain and down the other side in the jeep. Upon getting back to the house, it was time for a cocktail by the pool. Later, Joel and Lynne assembled kebabs for dinner.
