Man Up!

Unless you've been hiding under a rock, you have probably seen references to pinterest.com. I know that I have found it a little bit addicting. Of course, I'm probably a heavier-user of social media than many. I like how pinterest can let one keep track of favourite images or videos from the Internet with a few clicks. I have decided to create a group of my own Flickr pics which include famous things I've seen. It's probably a little for the hoarder-sort. I guess I have to compensate for having a one-bedroom apartment of only around 800 sq feet. If I can't stash a lot of junk in a physical barn, I can save electronic bits.

Alas, one aspect of pinterest that is truly annoying is, at this point, it's about 80% women. There really is a Mars/Venus orientation when it comes to the web I guess. I never really thought about what the average gal finds interesting when online. Well, it's pretty much what one might think of as traditional. I saved the screen of currently popular pins on the site for your quick review. Click the image to see what's hot at the moment.



Damn. That sure is a lot of shoes, handbags, and recipes! Not that there's anything wrong with that. I just wanted to "butch up" my little corner of the site. I specifically created one board called, Lowering Pinterest's Estrogen Levels.



Okay, now I'm taking suggestions for really manly objects to include. I'd welcome your ideas. (But I'd never ask you for directions, if I were lost.)
