As is often the case when the weather gets dodgy, I start dreaming of owning a place in a warmer area. This is not a new topic here at the blog either. In fact I had to create a tag called, Mexican Property, just to keep track of the number of my musings.
Something did occur the other day that has prompted more thought. Back last month, when were were in Puerto Vallarta, we did walk up behind the hill from the old town to look at the outside of an inauspicious, little house. I'd seen it listed on the MLS. We scoped out the El-Caloso area and even found the nearest public market. I was intrigued.
Then, over this past weekend, our real estate lady in Puerto Vallarta took a look at the place for us. It is currently rented so she needed to coordinate with the listing agent and the renter for an appointment. She shot about a dozen pictures and ran around taking video of the inside. It would in the terms of the industry be classed as cozy. That means it's small, but on several floors with an open roof. It could also be described in the MLS as funky. That means it's a well-decorated dump. Still, I can easily picture staying half of every year there.
I'll not show you the rather modest view from the street, but rather a view towards the street from a space in front of the second-story bedroom. Ah, I imagine sitting here on a warm, sunny day and I can almost taste the margarita now ...
