There's no hint of it here near Vancouver, today. Yet the photo above does show some blue. It appeared previously in my eJournal and images. It was included with my entry on the day it was taken. February 13, 2008 was the first day, I'd ever set sights on the beach at Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Our cruise ship stopped in town for just one day. We did manage to return on a trip that included Guadalajara in May of 2010 as well.
It does seem as if this city gets a higher percentage of blog entries than should be expected from the actual number of days spent there. Well, there will be more. I found a reasonably priced US Airways flight during the middle of next month. Jay cannot get off work, so it will be my first solo vacation (other than home) since, probably, the mid-1980's. I just figured I could reward myself with a week near the sand and under the warm February sun.
[Editor's Note: In mid-January, Jay 'caved in' and bought a ticket to also come along.]
I'll be getting to the Mexican coast exactly four years and one day after the date of the photo above.
