The Ability to Stop Traffic

Gag me. I simply refuse to turn on the television news today, because there really isn't any. Journalism now simply involves compiling a list of the best or worst of 2011. If I have to see the YouTube babies jabbering away again, I shall scream and pull out all my hair. We, as a society, get all reminiscent when the digits on the calendar change. The news organizations need to air or print something, especially since most are understaffed due to the holidays.

I refuse to go there with this blog. Instead, I'll put in a photo devoid of any compelling reason other than it's colourful and bright. It's just the front windows of a shop on Columbia Street two blocks away from here. I took it yesterday afternoon.



I do find it interesting that these safety accessories can be purchased by anyone. Considering how much perceived authority is bestowed on the wearer, it seems like one should have a license to own vests and equipment such as these. After all, what stops a person from buying from this shop, finding a desolate road, and forcing every car to stop so the occupants can be robbed?
