I mentioned a while back about the lack of concrete planning for 'the big autumn trip' which we nearly always take during parts of September and October. We still don't have tickets. Yet, I think we're getting a bit closer to figuring out dates for an itinerary which includes time in Malaysia and China.
I was trying to think about how recently we've been in that neck of the woods. Trips within the last five years to that part of the world have included Macao, Hong Kong, Thailand, and Cambodia. Yet, I think the weeks spent in Indonesia actually put us closest to Malaysia. The thing is that journey was a long time ago now. Jay and I spent the summer of 1992 travelling in Java and Bali. I wanted to see if I had an photo not yet included in my eJournal and images. I found this old digitized picture of friendly family who worked in a restaurant where we ate.
