I love having access to my blog which stretches back to Labour Day of 2003. It allows me to easily check on any day from those years. If on a trip, it reads like my diary. If it were a normal day, at minimum, I'd be sure the words were typed on the corresponding date. Some days an entry may not directly relate to that exact date, though. I could have been babbling about an idea or purchase.
Therefore, access to my Daily Picture Parade data seems even more a direct memory prompt. Although starting later, my collection of Flickr photos does contain something I actually viewed on that day. For example I can tell that it was a sunny day two years ago. Here is a photo taken from the indoor swimming pool area of my building. I couldn't, in fact, take the same photo today. It's not because it was a cloudier day but rather due to the fact the whole pool and hot tub are being refurbished.
