Living in Vancouver in November takes a toll on many of us. It can be quite hard maintaining sanity when it never stops raining. The whole first winter here seemed awful. I mean there's hardly any snow down here near sea level, but there's also little sun from mid-November till mid-March. It's the lack of sunshine that causes depression.
After living in the Lower Mainland for so many years, I thought I'd become acclimated. There are times when the gray days seem almost comforting. It's relaxing as long as the fireplace is on and I'm warm and dry inside. Yet today, while driving to work, I was thinking, "Damn rain, damn rain, damn rain!" For some reason, it's bothering me again.
