I love walking around
Home Depot but Jay hates it. Nevertheless, we spent a bit of time in the local one which is practically across the river in Surrey. The building we're in was built in the mid-80's. We moved here eleven years ago and have done little in the way of renovation. We replaced the lino in the kitchen and bathroom with laminate. There was also the installation of a new hot water heater a few years back. It's definitely time for a few more upgrades.

We'd be better to not keep putting it off. The
Canadian Home Renovation Tax credit will expire at the end of January. It is part of the economic-stimulus measures in this country. Not missing out on a few tax breaks is why were were at Home Depot today.
There's an ever-increasing list of things we could do. The apartment has the original PVC vertical window blinds. They are beige but might have been a few shades lighter when new. That is an area that needs to be looked
pronto, so we arranged for an appointment to have the Home Depot "specialist" come. Also, it'd be great to replace the counter tops both in the kitchen and bathroom. Perhaps new carpeting for the hallway, living room and bedroom? Yikes, we'd better get moving ... or maybe just make do and be happy with what's already there.
