If I were the poetic type, I'd create some lovely verses about the fine weather today. I'd mention about the strong sun of the summer smiling on us all. I'd say it's weather to be cherished in a way which is similar to a proud father doting on his newborn child. I'd talk about how nature's choir had begun singing the song of productivity and industriousness. If I were really feeling poetic, I'd dig deep into my feelings of joy at being here amongst it all. That's not really me though. So, instead of verse, I'll stick to a few concrete facts. On this wonderful afternoon I taught my COMM 0004 students. I spent the first three of four hours in a nearly windowless rectangular room with fifteen mature students. We completed a module highlighting the language of cause and effect. After that, the class entered the computer lab so they could catch up on their video assignments, message board topics, and special grammar and pronunciation software. At this point, they're pretty much set for tomorrow's Midterm Examination.
It doesn't bother me that I'm not very poetic. I am happy with who I am.
