I am increasing the amount of listening practice in my BCIT classes. I find a variety of topics on the Internet and create ten true/false statements for them. I read the passage outloud to the students and then read the statements one-by-one. They mark 'T' or 'F' in their notebooks. This type of activity takes a very small amount of class time, but hearing a person read, in my opinion, helps a lot with comprehension.
