It Wasn't a Day for Fools

The thing about my blogging is I never know from day-to-day what may constitute a topic for the next posting. Today, for example, I envisioned discussing how the cost of food seems to be rapidly increasing in Canada. For all the talk of recession, our trips to the supermarket seem to point to inflationary pressures. Economists will probably applaud the situation as cure to ward off a deflationary spiral. I find it rather frustrating though. One can hold off the purchase of a big ticket item, but food hits the pocketbook week after week.

Yet, who wants to talk about money in times like these? I decided to focus on the addition of a photo instead. I really hadn't planned on scanning it. I was in search of picture for a childhood friend who recently joined facebook. You'll have to check there for that one. My dad once sent me a a little shoebox containing some photos and memorabilia. At first I didn't think it contained much of importance. I plug in my scanner occasionally, and when I do, I sometimes fish out a photo or two.


In this picture, my aunt, Doris Osgood, hands me a diploma in New Hampshire at the Sunapee High School Auditorium. She was on the School Board at the time. It appears as if Kris Englestad and Joanne Nutting Menard are visible in the photo too. This event occurred nearly 32 years ago.
