I revisited a picnic table in the corner of Tipperary Park. The area was familiar but I finally let my Mini climb higher than 50 meters. (Going to the allowed 120 meters seems like an absurd proposition at my current level of experience.) Unfortunately, I forgot I put the drone in CineSmooth Mode and had a difficult time getting the flying object back against the wind. That freaked me out a little and I forgot all I'd learned about flying. My heart was beating really fast as I started to fear I was going to lose it. I completely forgot about the Return-to-Home Button as things almost got out of hand. I kept at it though and was very happy when I could see I was in complete control. Phew!
To calm myself, I stopped at about 30 meters and took a few photos in different directions.

I changed one of the photos to black and white. I uploaded it to a special Facebook group with historical photos of our city. Although the photo was only a few hours old, the Queen's Park neighbourhood is an important historical area. In 1859, New Westminster was the first incorporated city and capital of the province of BC. This location later became an important stop for many during the famous Klondike Gold Rush.
