Jay made oatmeal. We had bread and jam in the refrigerator but not lots more. So, today's task was to fill it up. First, we walked over to the cathedral area and snapped a few pictures at the malecon.
Then, we got on a bus to find Ley's Supermarket. We remember it being over at the other end of the central area by where all the streets are named after Central American countries. We spotted it easily as it is a really big building. We walked around for a long time buying all sorts of things. We were smart enough to have brought a number of sturdy re-usable bags from us with Vancouver. We were quite weighed down with four bags full of stuff that had to be carried by bus and then to our apartment. It would have taken 15 of the plastic superstore bags!
That trip and one to the local municipal market for fruit and vegetables got us all stocked up. (I did have to run out one more time to the big market with pharmacy for shampoo this evening.)
