Day 084 of Our Winter: Getting down to Pattaya was easy. It cost around US$ 70 for an SUV rideshare and took a bit more than two hours to travel south east. We were lucky as sometimes it can take closer to three. Our Grab had plenty of room for the luggage. We left one bag at the hotel as we will be returning to the Ramada D'MA when we go back to Bangkok at the end of the month.
We are now staying at the Sunshine Hotel and Residences right on Soi 8 in the Central Pattaya area. We are just meters from the large mall and only a three or four minute walk to the Beach Road. We left our hotel in Bangkok at around 10:15. So we were too early to check in here at 12:30 pm.
We walked a little bit and had lunch. Then, we returned to the hotel to unpack in the rooms. Jay and I got a larger room than we paid for. Was it fate or our Expedia VIP status? It doesn't matter as the extra chairs and table are welcomed.
We did have a nap but walked out to the beach for a few kilometers of extra steps today. I think the sisters were a bit surprised by the liberal environment here. It's comforting to see that Thailand keeps changing but a lot of things never change!
