Our flights were the very first part of the trip that we purchased. We fly into Venice, Italy and return home from Bucharest, Romania. The next step has been choosing the cities in which we want to spend time. That includes making sure about distances and the number of important sites to be seen. Today, we worked on arranging a few actual hotel accommodations for our choices. Nowadays, it's always good to have confirmed reservations during a busy tourist season. Over the past few weeks, we have completed about 75% of the nights.
On this type of trip the actual method of transportation will be either train or bus. We don't need to arrange this in advance. This might sound counterintuitive, but we have already ensured that the cities are within a day's travel and each contains either train or bus options.
