Retired for Eight Years!

Supermarket cakes aren't usually allowed in our apartment.  However, I took advantage of a special situation to buy it while Jay was working out at the gym.

   

This is the anniversary of Jay's last day of employment and the day he began early retirement. It occurred on a Sunday that year.  He beat me by three days, as the last day I ever taught a class was on Wednesday, October 22nd. 

Those two special days were in 2014, so we've now been retired for eight years.  Many of the days since have been some of our best ones ever!  This surely merits a $5 Walmart black forest cake.
